Creating fun

I had Monday breakfast at Casa Sirena with Steve and his family and everyone later wound up a Zama Beach Club.
Honeymooner Nina wanted to go on the zip line at Garrafon Park. After she heard the pricing, she decided to pretend Casa Sirena has a zip line!
This school principal can have fun anywhere! And it was nice seeing everyone at Zama Beach Club

Excuse me. Sorry we're late. It was my fault.

Spa Day at Zama for PEACE and I'm 15 minutes late. Lora would not go inside the house, so I had her run in front of the golf cart to Beach Club Zama. It was like she owned the place, was meant to be a SpaDog.
The acupuncturist had missed the ferry. So Carol Lavia generously offered some free kinesiology, magnet therapy and osteopathy while we waited.
I benefited from them all as a package. Still today, I have no pain in my back or legs. It has been months!
Glance to the right, and that was my view. Lora dog was vigilant under the table, so much so that the magnet therapist placed a couple magnets on her bad hip. She laid there, seemingly enjoying it! When laying there, the view above was equally pleasing!
Afterward, we had quesadillas and guacamole. Lora doesn't eat the green stuff, but had beans and rice seasoned with bacon for her middle of the night snack, after running to the ATM with the golf cart.
Yep. there's a lot to be said for being a SpaDog!

Vacations end; others begin

The Polish Princesses and I have almost concluded our vacation. Bwah! We spent Sunday at Zama before the SuperBowl. Great night! Folks from Alberta arrived before it was over and quickly settled in.
And then, in the middle of the night, Deb was awakened by pain. In the morning, I called Dr Salas and he said he'd be over in an hour. Deb arrived knowing she needs a second spinal surgery. It looks like she'll have to have it sooner than later.
The discs above the ones that were treated are pinching nerves now. She is a brave woman. As soon as Dr Salas left, Kate and I went into town to fill prescriptions and shop souvenirs. Deb didn't move from her spot in bed and ate the chicken cazuela we brought back from La Lomita's. Now Deb and I nap and Sissy moves to the roof for some final rays. The week was just too short!

Sunday: Routine fun!

Ron and Kathy from Portland came by for Sunday brunch. An easy thing for the hostess, when it's conchinita pibil day and my main man now has a whole room next to his meat shop just to sell from for this Sunday tradition.

They checked the status of my papaya tree, slowly growing its fruits!

And then were were off to Zama Beach Club for dark beer and quesadillas. Kathy and I enjoyed the chilly pools!

I took a siesta and then the Salinases arrived! Ooops. I had a calendar error, repeatedly using the same wrong arrival day. Since it was a long trip from the San Francisco Bay area, they took a nap and off we went to Daisy and Raul's. They got some churros at el parque to go with French roast coffee for breakfast, and are off to Playa Norte. Gilberto and I have a date to go to Marma! And then tonight, Ron and Kathy, and probably the Salinases and I will go to Miguel's, to verify he makes the bests mojitos on Isla Mujeres. Now that Kathy and Ron have a reference point!
